R&D Technician

Responsibilities

• • Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and modification of EV components and prototypes, including battery packs, thermal management systems, and powertrain components.
  • Work closely with the R&D team to design, develop and refine EV system/sub-system prototypes.
  • Set up and conduct required tests on EV components and systems, such as durability tests, thermal performance tests, etc.
  • Collect, document, and analyse test data to support the evaluation of design performance.
  • Operate and maintain R&D lab equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including test reports, assembly instructions, and maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

• • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of industrial exposure, preferably within the automotive or EV industry.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus
  • Basic understanding of EV systems, including batteries, motors, and thermal management, is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Capability to work in-collaboration with the R&D team to meet the deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
